Hong Kong Shue Yan University admitted 1,274 freshmen to its degree programmes this academic year, 260 less than last year.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) took second place, with 837 applicants. The third most popular is the Bachelor of Social Work (Hons.) programme. However, it is the most competitive degree programme, with only 41 out of 593 applicants admitted. The application to admission ratio is 14.5:1.

The number of Mainland students and associate degree graduates admitted are 53 and 66 respectively.
